“Bliss in the Divine Mother” Ananda means Bliss. Shakti is the Divine Cosmic Energy. Shakti is the energy of the cosmos that maintains the universe and also makes it disintegrate. It is the name for the dynamic forces of the universe. Shakti is the Divine Feminine and Shiva is the Divine Masculine. Shiva and Shakti are two parts of the same whole. Each person has the potential to be an empowered balance of both Shiva and Shakti. 
 
The Self-Realization Shala Order is founded by ~Gurudevi, Shri Maha-Shaktianandaswami; dedicated to the life-affirming path of Yoga. Shala is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning a holy space. A place that is a sanctuary, a refuge, a space to inspire balance, focus, strength, flexibility. A place that is built for the community of the heart.

~Gurudevi, Shri Maha-Shaktianandaswami 
developed the ArtStar Yoga Academy, teaching
the Shaktiananda Yoga technique, of the
Self-Realization Shala Order. 

~Gurudevi is the author of Shaktiananda Yoga for Higher Awareness, Nature of Wholeness, and Autobiography of a Messenger. ~Gurudevi is a “Dispeller of Ignorance”; a spiritually realized preceptor who can guide the sincere; a living representative of the Shaktiananda Yoga technique, philosophy and religious teaching.

~Guruparampara is a serial line of teachers.

~Gurudevi is a direct disciple of ~Paramahansa Yogananda, author of the spiritual classic, Autobiography of a Yogi.

The Shaktiananda Yoga technique is based on the training she received from ~Paramahansa Yogananda, and the teachings of the Ascended and Unascended Masters of the Great Brotherhood of Light known as The Great White Brotherhood.
